The best user experience when interacting with your home
This means that every interaction, should be simple, and enjoyable for every occupant.
All the things that are terrible in proprietary smart homes from Crestron, Control 4, Savant, and RTI like -
- Answering intercoms and doorbells and choosing where they ring in the home
- Changing schedules for anything including towel and floor heaters
- Changing codes on doors
- Changing what Scenes do.
- Changing automated events
Should all be simple for any user.
No ongoing platform license fees, No Cloud reliance
The equipment that goes into your home, should be yours.
It should work without paying ongoing license and cloud subscription fees.
It shouldn't store your usage history and data on it's servers and it definitely shouldn't rely on a licensed ongoing cloud service to work outside your home.
If you're being sold technology for your home that requires any of the above, you're looking at a platform that at best will cost money forever and at worst, might one day stop working altogether.
